I collaborated on a chapter in this book with my colleague Timo Rissanen. The writing is about our teaching pedagogy in the Sustainable Systems course at Parsons School of Design in NYC . My contribution explores the relationship between design, nature and textile production through the lens of harvesting and developing regionally sourced, plant based textile dyes. My writing speaks to designers about the importance to foster interdependencies between our natural and human ecosystems. This book was edited by Kate Fletcher, Louise St. Pierre, and Mathilda Tham. The book is published by Routledge and can be purchased here.
